During lockdowns I came to realise that there are so many opportunities within a kilometre either side of my house. If you start at Penzance Railway Station and walk to the far end of Newlyn you will see so many interesting compositions and what's more they change every day as conditions vary and people come and go. Street/town/urban photography never really fired my imagination but covid and lockdown has changed that somewhat. I'm sure many photographers, that have been forced to concentrate on their local areas, have found the same. People have had to look repeatedly at their immediate surroundings for inspiration. Your mind seems to tune into seeing compositions where before you would have just let the moment pass. |
