Zennor is a beautiful little village on the north coast a few miles west of St Ives. It has a good pub, cafe and lovely church and with a relatively flat walk down to the sea, is well worth a few hours of your time. Yet another excellent area for photography.
Made famous by the story of Matthew Trewella and the Mermaid. She swam up the stream attracted by his singing voice from the church. Matthew followed her back to the sea....... I won't spoil the happy ending for you. In the church is a carved pew depicting the story. The graveyard is a lovely peaceful place.
Zennor Head and the surrounding area give wide ranging views along the cliffs west and east. The coast path here is beautiful but is also one of the most difficult sections in the County.
