I seem to be spending more time than ever capturing images of the sea as it meets the land. Hopping around on rocks looking for gullies that the foaming water can rush into and out again is a bit of a niche hobby of mine. Cascading seawater surrounded by limpets makes for a very different interpretation of waterfall photography. When a swell is running the patterns made by the water as it hits and then recedes from the rocks can be mesmerising and of course every image is a moment frozen that can never be exactly replicated.
Sand or shingle beaches are also very productive for this kind of photography, especially as the waves rush back out from the shore.
