The Nanquidno Valley is basically below St Just Airfield. At the St Just end of the airfield a narrow dead straight road leads alongside the field and then swings right and descends down to the sea. Keep on the same little road as it goes down into the trees and past farm buildings and holiday cottages, don't take a left hand fork part way down. When you reach the bottom there is an obvious parking layby and grass verge-don't drive down the bumpy track-park and walk down it. The track is shown in the first two infrared images below.
When you reach the lovely converted Nanjulian Mill you have two routes to choose from. Just past the Mill a path on your left takes you down to the rocky beach and sea. This is actually Nanjulian.
If you walk thirty metres or so past the Mill you will see a gate on your left and this takes you into a sloping rough field. Walk up this and you will meet the coast path as it comes up from Nanjulian and from the top you get fantastic views to Cape Cornwall. The images below of Cape Cornwall were all taken from this area, some by scrambling down the grass bank.
When you take the little path next to the Mill you will have another choice to make, part way down, the path has a left fork and this will take you on a higher flat route out around the corner, where again you will have great views. Going further along this path and then up and up will take you to the gate seen in images below and also give you views of Gwenver and Sennen. Instead of going up you can walk straight along the coast path and eventually Sennen and it's beach will open up in front of you.
This is a beautiful quiet area with great photographic opportunities but you will need to spend some time here to explore the possibilities.
